Built in 1986, this Class A office tower's ground floor underwent a complete renovation. The owners wanted to differentiate the building from the others in the area by following the modern trend of making office spaces more hospitality focused. Café Hagen, a local Seattle based cafe, plays a key role in activating the space.

On the ground floor of this building we created a variety of seating areas each with their own purpose and feeling. Cafe tables and chairs that help expand the cafe seating, lounge sectionals and chairs that allow the user to sit back. Built-in niches and large communal tables offer a space for working away from a desk or in person meetings over a cup of coffee.

High end finishes throughout the lobby elevate the space to achieve the high end hospitality feeling the owner was aiming for.

A variety of custom light fixtures were designed in collaboration with Pentograph. Glass, wood, and metal were all used to create unique fixtures to illuminate the space.

A custom-designed, 18-foot-long security desk serves as the focal point of the main entry, overlooking the elevator lobby. Above the desk, a row of seven 3D-clay printed ceramic lights adds a distinctive, crafted touch to the space.

Communal and coffee tables were custom-made by local vendors, designed to perfectly complement the angles of the building.

We worked with both the building owner and the cafe owner to mesh their separate visions and aesthetics into one space. The cafe needed to feel cohesive with the rest of the lobby space but still stay true to the already established brand of the cafe.

A multipurpose room and fitness center were added to the ground floor for building tenants to utilize.
